Nutrition - What is it?

 

nu·tri·tion (nōō-trĭsh'ən)

The process of nourishing or being nourished, by which a living organism assimilates food and uses it for growth and for replacement of tissues.

 

Essentially good nutrition is giving our bodies the right balance of proteins, carbs and fats to allow it to repair, maintain and adapt itself to our lives.

 


So what do I eat?

 

Well the good news is that eating a nutritionally balanced diet does not mean eating tasteless, bland, unfulfilling food.  Far from it infact.  However it does mean taking a closer look at the way you eat and the ingredients that you use when preparing your food.
